I have been a patient of Dr. Michael Feiz, M.D., FACS since April 2007. I found Dr. Feiz's contact information from a website for LapBand surgery. I also made contact with several other sources for surgical procedures but chose Dr. Feiz. I felt confidence in his expertise, competence level, and experience. He is up-to-date on the latest techniques and has had extra training specifically for gastric by-pass and LapBand procedures.

From the time of my first meeting with Dr. Feiz, I felt at ease and totally comfortable with the fact that I was in qualified hands. Dr. Feiz answered all of my questions and addressed any concerns I might have. I went forward from the first visit totally at peace with my decision to have surgery.

My surgery took place on June 18, 2007. All went well and my recovery has been swift and with no significant side effects. After careful consideration, I chose by-pass over LapBand. I felt that for my particular needs this was the option that would best work for me.

As of September 1, 2007, I have lost nearly 40 pounds. During this time period I have taken two trips, including an 8-day trip to Cabo, Mexico. I was able to eat, drink, and participate in all of the activities my friends were enjoying. I bought and wore a swimming suit and lavished in sunbathing and swimming. It had been over 15 years since I had allowed myself to be seen in a swimming suit. I cannot tell you how good it feels to be able to enjoy such simple pleasures.

Life is great and everyday gets even better. I am not only improving my physical health but my emotional well being as well.
